We use Cacao Trace as the best possible way of sourcing Cacao sustainably. Lazzy’s is now Cacao Trace certified. In a Cocoa nutshell, that means the Cacao we use is good for the planet. And good for the people who source it. And good for the people who ship it. And roast it. And sell it. And... eat it!

Our Cocoa is sourced from West Africa, and our other ingredients are sourced from the UK and the EU.

- The program is audited and certified, with a direct link to the communities that grow the cocoa.
- The program offers delicious-tasting chocolate, peace of mind, and supports better lives for farming communities.
- The program involves in-depth farmer training by Cacao-Trace team members, farming best practices, long-term investments in cooperatives and communities, long-term volume engagement, carbon neutrality by 2025, and a chocolate bonus of €0.10 to farmers.
- The program offers quality premiums for good beans to farmers and cooperatives, as well as agroforestry and crop diversity.v
- Cacao-Trace offers superior chocolate taste through a unique fermentation process trained in post-harvest centres and monitored by experts.
- Cacao-Trace segregates beans by quality, which guarantees consistent high-quality taste in the final chocolate.
- The chocolate bonus of €0.10 is paid back to farmer communities per kg of chocolate sold.
- Cacao-Trace has built schools, potable water stations servicing hundreds, new classrooms, offices, libraries, and toilets in countries where the Cocoa is sourced.
Cacao Trace ensures there’s nothing nasty about the bars, from the soil up.
